Lemon Macaron at Monteleone's
AUGUST 31ST SPECIAL
According to Joey at Monteleone's, the macaron is Italian in origin, but has been claimed by the French. We have to agree as the name is derived from the Italian word macarone, meaning the meringue. This variety is filled with a tart white lemon ganache and it's amazing. No wonder they sell them in boxes of 6 – there's no way you can eat just one.
